Swimming Coach Priscilla Weston
Bio: I have been a Head Swim Coach and Stroke & Turn Coach at 2 Olympic training facilities: Coral Springs under Michael Lohberg and the former Curl-Burke under Rick Curl. I was mentored by two Olympic Swimming Coaches and now solely coach privately so I can reach more swimmers. I want to give every swimmer willing to work hard the ability to get their absolute fastest times without anything holding them back. I know what it’s like to give everything for your dreams only to find out there was a better way, late into your training. I was blessed to be taken under the wing of 2 top coaches as both a swimmer and a coach and now I work to share everything I’ve learned over the past 19 years with those looking to give it their all to reach the pinnacle of success.
Philosophy: My style is technique-based as opposed to mileage-based. We strive for perfection in form and performance, you are expected to have a good work ethic and be willing to learn how to communicate with a coach so you can work together (I’m not going to just bark orders at you, we do this together or not at all.). I believe you need to learn how to:
- Perfect your technique and understand how it works.
- Recover to keep your body in optimal condition.
- Have a plan for each goal and set motivating goals.
